The Chinese phone maker Zopo has announced an another budget friendly smartphone ‘Color M5’ after the launch of its Color M4 a couple of weeks ago. The Zopo Color M5 comes with base-level specifications and is priced at Rs. 5,999. The device is available in Peach, Matte White, Caribbean Blue, Indigo and Charcoal Black color options and will be sold through all the major offline retailers across the country.
The Zopo Color M5 comes with a 5 inch FWVGA display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M 64-bit processor along with a Mali-T720 GPU. The smartphone bares 1 GB RAM coupled with 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card. The Zopo Color M5 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
For imaging, the device has got a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording support. There’s also a 2 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone packs 2,100 mAh battery for its powering without fast charging support or anything of that sort. The device measures 143.7 x 71.9 x 9.7 mm and weighs 142gm.
With its budget friendly Color M5 smartphone, Zopo might be looking to compete against the top contenders in the budget segment, especially the Xiaomi Redmi 4A. But in-spite of having a competitive phone, the Color M5 is no where near the Redmi 4A as it has way more to offer in context to performance and camera.
