Micromax’s subsidiary YU Televentures has now come into a strategic partnership with Reliance Retail to sell their smartphones offline. The company was started as online only brand and its phones were available via e-commerce site Amazon India only.
Yu will be launching the VOLTE (Voice over LTE) versions of their acclaimed Yuphoria, Yureka Plus and Yunique, that will be available in the 30,000 offline stores. The manufacturer will be able to get a good grip on the market through the wide distribution and presence in the retail market of Reliance. However, Yu has already surpassed its competitor Xiaomi in the online smartphone sales in the third quarter.
The new VOLTE version will of Yuphoria, Yunique and Yureka Plus will cost Rs. 7,999, Rs. 6,499 and Rs. 10,999 respectively in the 30,000 Reliance Retail stores present in India.
