Yi Technologies, an associated brand of Xiaomi (also known as XioYi) has launched a new Mirrorless Camera, dubbed as ‘Yi M1’ at the on-going Photokina 2016 in Cologne, Germany. With this, Xiaomi has debuted in the Mirrorless camera segment and has launched it at an affordable price of $ 330 (Rs. 22,000 approx.).

The Yi M1 is a relatively compact mirrorless camera that comes in two colour options – Matte Black and Silver. As a matter of fact, the Yi M1 Mirrorless camera looks rather similar to the recently launched mirrorless camera by Leica. The camera makes use of a Micro Four-thirds setup that utilizes a 20.16 MP Sony IMX269 sensor. It uses a contrast detection AF system with a total of 81 focus points.

The Mirrorless camera from XioYi sports a 3 inch display at the back and four buttons to the sides and comes with a set of two lens. One of them is a 12-40 mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens while the other is a 42.5 mm f/1.8 fixed focus lens. The lens comes with a button that provides users the option to switch between Macro and Normal modes. However, the camera does not feature flash.

The Yi M1 boasts of a mechanical shutter, super continuous shooting and can capture images at as high as 25,600 ISO. It is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30 fps and RAW images. It also comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 for connecting to your smart devices.

In China it will cost for 2199 Yuan (Rs. 22,000 approx.) for the standard lens (12-40 mm f/3.5-5.6 ) and 2999 Yuan (Rs. 30,200 approx.) for dual lens kit which includes an additional 42.5 mm f/1.8 portrait lens. However, there’s no words on when the camera will be available in International market.
