Xiaomi Redmi Pro with Deca-core SoC and 4GB RAM Launched

After teasing it for few weeks, Xiaomi has finally launched a new smartphone, dubbed as Xiaomi Redmi Pro in China. The all-metal unibody design smartphone will be available for order from August 6, and price starts at 1499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 15,100).

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) OLED 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 / Helio X25 processor with Mali-T880 GPU. It will be offered in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage variants. The smartphone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Redmi Pro sports dual rear camera, which has one 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED Flash, Sony IMX258 sensor, and 5-megapixel secondary camera with Samsung sensor. It also has another 5-megapixel of a front-facing camera on board. The smartphone is backed by a 4050mAh battery with fast charging and also houses a fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It will be offered in Gold, Silver, and Gray color variants.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is priced at 1499 yuan (approx. Rs. 15,100) for the standard Helio X20, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant, while the high-end Helio X25, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant costs 1699 yuan (approx. Rs. 17,100) and the premium version with Helio X25, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 1999 yuan (approx. Rs. 20,100).
