As scheduled, Xiaomi has launched the ‘Redmi Note 4’ smartphone in India at a launch event in New Delhi. The smartphone was launched in China back in August last year.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with up to 72% NTSC color gamut. In China, it comes with a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, however, in India it comes with a 2GHz Octa-core 14nm Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU.
The Redmi Note 4 sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. It also has a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens. It comes in three variants – 2GB/ 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, with expandable memory up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The hybrid dual-sim smartphone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is backed by a big 4100mAh battery with fast charging support and also houses a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It measures at 151 x 76 x 8.35mm and weighs in at 175g.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes in Gold, Dark Gray and a new Matte Black colour variant. It is priced at Rs. 9999 for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage variant, Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant costs Rs. 12,999. All the three variants will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting from 23rd January, 12 pm onwards.
