Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 4 smartphone in China back in August last year, but it is yet to arrive in India. However, the Chinese tech giant has sent out invites for a launch event in New Delhi on 19th January, where the company is expected to launch the smartphone in the country.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with up to 72% NTSC color gamut. In China, it comes with a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, however, in India it will come with a Snapdragon processor.
The Redmi Note 4 sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. It also has a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens. It comes in two variants – 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 64GB storage, with expandable memory up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The hybrid dual-sim smartphone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is backed by a big 4100mAh battery with fast charging support and also houses a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It measures 151 x 76 x 8.35mm and weighs 175g.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes in Gold, Silver and Gray colour variants. In China, it is priced at 899 yuan (approx. Rs. 9,000) for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version and the 3GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs 1199 yuan (approx. Rs. 12,000).
