Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi 3s, an upgraded version of Redmi 3 in China. The smartphone with the full metal unibody design will be available from 16th June via Mi.com.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3s features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, coupled with Adreno 505 GPU, It comes in two variants, one with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB storage (eMMC 5.0), while other with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB storage (eMMC 5.0). The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top.
The Redmi 3s sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and 1080p video recording. It also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone is packed with a 4000mAh battery and offers connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/GLONASS. It measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm and weighs 144 g.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3s is priced at CNY 699 (approx. Rs. 7,100) for the 2 GB RAM variant, while the 3 GB RAM version costs CNY 899 (approx. Rs. 9,200). The smartphone will be offered in Dark Grey, Silver and Gold colors variants. However, there is no word on its Indian availability yet.
