The Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has launched the Mi VR Play headset in India at the Mi Pop event at a price tag of Rs. 999. Xiaomi’s VP Hugo Barra announced that it will go on sale in India on mi.com starting from 21st December at 12pm.
The Xiaomi Mi VR Play headset has a two-way zipper design that protect the user’s phone from dropping and damaging. It is built with Lycra fabric, which makes the VR Play skin-friendly and lightweight. It also has adjustable straps, which makes it perfectly suitable for long hours of usage.
Along with Mi Live VR streaming, it is also compatible with Google Cardboard and 360-degree YouTube videos. You can enjoy panoramic VR photos on Cardboard camera and explore 360-degree Google Camera photo spheres. It comes with massive VR app library on Google Play.
The Mi VR Play headset can fit phones from 4.7 to 5.7 inches of screen size. Since it has openings on the front, you can adjust the phone if it moves. It measures at 201 x 107 x 91mm and weighs at 208.7g only.
The Xiaomi Mi VR Play headset will also be available in a limited edition colorful designs like denim, leopard prints, and Van Gogh. To recall, the Mi VR Play headset was launched in China in August this year.
