Xiaomi introduced the Mi Pad 2 back in November last year and now, the company is rumoured to launch its successor ‘Mi Pad 3’ in China on 30th December. Some alleged images and specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 have been leaked online. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will be a major upgrade over the Mi Pad 2.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 sports a 9.7-inch (2048×1536 pixels) retina display. It is expected to feature all-metal 6.08mm slim body. It is powered by 7th Generation dual-core Intel M3-7Y30 processor clocked at 2.6GHz. The processor on board is paired with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM.
On the camera front, it sports a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1080p video recording and an 8MP front-facing camera. It will come in 128GB and 256GB storage options. It is said to run on Windows 10 OS, with Intel HD Graphics 615.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is backed by 8290mAh battery with fast charging support. It is said to sport Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the front. Connectivity options will include WiFi 802.11ac (Dual Band), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C. It measures at 239.5×164.5×6.08mm and weighs at 380g.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is rumoured to cost 1999 yuan (approx. Rs. 19,540) for the 128GB storage variant and 2299 yuan (approx. Rs. 22,470) for the 256GB storage variant. The additional magnetic keyboard will cost 99 yuan (approx. Rs. 1,000).
However, there is no official word about the Mi Pad 3 from Xiaomi yet. Stay tuned for more updates!
