Xiaomi launches Huami AmazeFit smartwatch with heart rate sensor and GPS

Xiaomi’s subsidiary brand Huami has launched a new smartwatch dubbed as Huami AmazeFit smartwatch in China. The smartwatch comes in black color with black and red bands and is priced at 799 yuan (approx. Rs. 8,000).

The Huami AmazeFit smartwatch features a 1.34-inch (320 X 320 pixels) low-power circular display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB eMMC storage. It is compatible with Android 4.4 devices or later. It is IP67 certified water and dust resistant.The AmazeFit smartwatch has Optical heart rate monitor (PPG) to track your heart beats and also include sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. It packs a 280mAh battery that promises up to 35 hours of usage in GPS mode and up to 5 days of battery life with normal use. On the connectivity front, it has Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

The Huami AmazeFit smartwatch weighs 53.7g only. However, there is no word on its global roll out yet.
