Following the success of the Vivo V3 and V3 Max smartphones, the company is all set to launch its next smartphone, dubbed as the ‘Vivo V5’ in India. The company has sent out media invites for the launch event which is scheduled at 12pm on 15th November in Mumbai.
The invite sports an image of a lens and reads – “Witness one more spectacle in the history of smartphones, as Vivo leads the selfie evolution with the all new Vivo V5”. So, its prominent that a high-end selfie camera is on the cards.
As far as the other specs are concerned, the Vivo V5 is expected to come with a metal body design and a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. On the performance front, it is expected to sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at 1.8GHz along with Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.
If rumors are to be believed, the Vivo V5 will sport a 20MP selfie camera with softlight LED flash support. On the rear, it might come with a 13MP camera with LED flash. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The fingerprint sensor will be embedded under the home button below the display.
The pricing of the Vivo V5 is expected to be around Rs. 20,000 to compete with other selfie-centric smartphones like the Oppo F1s and the Gionee S6s. However, exact pricing and availability will be known at the launch event only. Stay tuned for more updates!
