As scheduled, Vivo has launched its selfie-focused smartphone, the ‘Vivo V5 Plus’ in India at a price tag of Rs. 27,980. The smartphone was launched globally last week and listed on a Malaysian website for pre-orders.
The highlight of the Vivo V5 Plus is the dual selfie camera, which includes a 20MP primary camera with Moonlight flash, Sony IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5p lens and a secondary 8MP front camera for capturing in-depth information. On the rear, it sports a 16MP camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF.
The Vivo V5 Plus sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D In-Cell display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM. It comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top.
The dual-sim smartphone is backed by a 3160mAh battery with fast charging support. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the front. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. It measures at 152.8 x 74 x 7.26mm and weighs at 158.6g.
The Vivo V5 Plus comes in Golden colour and will be available for pre-orders from Tuesday. It will go on sale from 1st February via both online and offline retailers across the country.
