Sony has launched its Xperia XA1 smartphone on Tuesday, 11th March in India. The smartphone was announced during the Mobile World Congress 2017 along with the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, XZs and XA1 Ultra. The Sony Xperia XA1 is essentially a successor of the Xperia XA that was launched last year. The device is priced at Rs. 19,990 and will be available across all the Sony centres and major retail stores. The smartphone comes in White, Black and Pink color variants.
The Sony Xperia XA1 bears a 5 inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display and a 2.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage that is expandable up to 256 GB via MicroSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
It packs some big numbers when it comes to camera. It bears a 23 MP f/2.0 aperture rear camera with Exmor RS image sensor, hybrid auto focus, 24mm wide-angle lens, 5x zoom and HDR mode. There’s also an 8 MP front camera for selfies.
Connectivity options of the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port and NFC. The device holds a 2300 mAh battery for its powering coupled with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology that adjusts charging in order to avoid damage and increases life span. There’s also a stamina mode that saves the battery by optimising background apps and makes it last longer. The device measures 145 x 67 x 8 mm and weighs 143 grams.
