Sony Xperia X Ultra press renders leaked; to sport a 6.45 inch Ultra-Wide display with thin bezels

Sony has been reported to be working on a new smartphone beneath its Xperia series, dubbed as Xperia X Ultra. The new leaked press renders of the smartphone indicates that it will most probably sport a 6.45 inch display with tall and narrow design following the foot trails of the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ smartphones. The leaked images also show that the smartphone has very thin bezels on the sides and the top bezel is wide which contains a Sony Logo along with a front camera.

On the back side is the Xperia logo and the rear camera which is assumed to be of 19 MP. Nothing much has been revealed regarding the smartphone apart from the display and design. There are speculations which hint that the smartphone will come with Snapdragon 660 processor and 4 GB RAM. The device is said to come with IP68 certification that makes the smartphone water and dust resistant which could be true considering recent smartphones of the Xperia series. The smartphone is assumed to pack a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick charge 3.0 support.

With a thin bezel display, the Xperia X Ultra will give Sony a better chance to compete against the flagship devices from Samsung and LG. It is high time for Sony to bring a device which bares a thin bezel design with many others looking to follow the trend. Recently, Apple is also reported to equip its upcoming iPhone 8 with bezel-less design and it is also in talks with Samsung to provide OLED displays in the same context.
