As expected, Samsung has launched its Tizen OS-based smartphone, dubbed as Samsung Z2 at an event in New Delhi, India. The 4-inch smartphone is priced at Rs. 4,590 and will be exclusively available from Paytm and also through offline retail stores from August 29th.
The Samsung Z2 features a 4-inch WVGA (800 × 480 pixels) TFT display and is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, paired with 1GB RAM. It offers 8GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD. The smartphone runs on Tizen OS 2.4.
The Z2 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and VGA front-facing camera. It is backed by a 1500mAh battery and offers connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.
The Samsung Z2 will be offered in Gold, Black and Wine Red color variants. It also comes with Jio Preview offer that offers unlimited access to voice and data for 90 days.
