Samsung Gear S2 Classic White, Rose Gold, Platinum color variants launched in India

Samsung India has announced three new variants of Gear S2 classic smartwatch in India. The one in white color variant is launched for Rs. 24,300, while the 18K-plated rose gold color option, and a Platinum variant is priced at Rs. 34,900. The new variants will be available across all Samsung’s retail channels.

Apart from the new variants, Samsung has also introduced new apps for the platform including cab-hiring service Uber, G’Night sleep tracking app, reminder specialist My Notes in Gear and YouTube browsing app Xenozu. Moreover, games like the puzzle based Hextris, classic car racing Vroom Rider, brain teaser themed Hangman as well as Play store games like Space Wars & Snake are now available on the Gear S2. Samsung says that the new apps can use the rotating bezel of the Gear S2 as a game controller.

Just to recall, Samsung Gear S2 classic features a 1.2-inch (360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED display, with pixel density at 302 ppi. It is powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Exynos 3250 processor, paired with 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB internal storage. The Tizen OS based smartwatch is IP67 Certified Dust and Water Resistant, and offers connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC. It is backed by 250mAh Li-ion battery.

The Samsung Gear S2 Classic was first showcased at IFA 2015 in Berlin last September.
