In July, Samsung announced its flagship tablet Galaxy Tab S2, and today it has launched its 9.7 inches variant in India. The Galaxy Tab S2 comes in two size variants – one with 8-inches and other with 9.7 inches.
The Galaxy Tab S2 features a Quad HD (2048 x 1536 pixels) Super AMOLED display; where the 8-inch variant has a 320ppi pixel density while the 9.7-inch variant has a pixel density of 264ppi. Both the variants are powered by Octa-Core Exynos 5433 (1.9 GHz + 1.3 GHz) processor coupled with Mali T760MP6 GPU and 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It has internal storage of 32GB/ 64GB with microSD card support up to 128GB.
The Galaxy Tab S2 sports 8 megapixel rear camera and 2.1 megapixel of secondary camera. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and runs on TouchWiz UI based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
Connectivity option includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPA/A-GPS/GLONASS, and micro USB 2.0. The 9.7-inch variant comes with of 5,870mAh Li-Ion battery, and the 8-inch variant is packed with a smaller 4,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch variant measures 237.3 x 169 x 5.6 mm and weighs 389 grams while the 8-inch variant measures 198.6 x 134.8 x 5.6 mm and weighs 265 grams. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 comes in Gold, Black and White color variant.
When it comes to pricing and availability, the 9.7 inches Galaxy Tab S2 is available at 39,990 while the 8 inches variant may take some more time to arrive in India.
