Today, the smartphones have been officially launched and they have been priced at Rs. 57,900 and Rs. 65,900 for the two variants of the Galaxy S9 while the two variants of the Galaxy S9+ are priced at Rs. 64,900 and Rs. 72,900.

Talking about the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, they are being touted as the most innovative smartphones yet manufactured by the company. The highlighting feature of the smartphones is the new camera the devices have been equipped with. Both the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have received significant improvements in their camera software with the introduction of Bixby Vision in the camera app.
The Galaxy S9 comes with a single rear camera of 12 MP SuperSpeed Dual Pixel autofocus sensor with OIS and a variable aperture size of f/1.5-f/2.4, included for the first time in a smartphone. Similarly, the Galaxy S9+ has been provided with the same sensor, but unlike the Samsung Galaxy S9, it has a dual camera setup. They are also equipped with Intelligent Scan which uses the collective strength of Iris scanning and facial recognition technology to quickly and conveniently unlock a user’s phone.
Talking specifically about the smartphones, the Galaxy S9 comes with a 5.8-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED 18.5:9 display, is powered by a Samsung Exynos 9810 SoC and will be available to consumers with a RAM of 4 GB capacity, combined with either 64 GB or 256GB internal storage. On the other hand, the Galaxy S9+ comes with a 6.2-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED 18.5:9 display, and powered by the same processor, it comes with 6 GB RAM in combination with the same internal storage capacities such as the Galaxy S9. Both the smartphones have been provided with an option of expanding the memory up to 400 GB via microSD.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be running Android 8 Oreo with Samsung’s very own Experience UI and have been rated IP68 on the ingress protection scale. The Galaxy S9 will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S9+ comes with a bigger 3,500 mAh battery. The phones also pack in offer features like AR Emoji, like Apple’s Animoji obviously with some refinements, AKG tuned speakers and immersive audio with Dolby Atmos, Iris scanning and facial recognition, Bixby Vision.
