Samsung was teasing its next On series smartphone on Flipkart with the name ‘Samsung Galaxy On Nxt’. The Nxt moniker was expected as a substitute for a number in the On series smartphone, which is not the case. Samsung has launched its ‘Galaxy On Nxt’ smartphone in India at a price tag of Rs. 18,490.
The Samsung Galaxy On Nxt looks identical on paper to the Galaxy On7 (2016) that was launched in China last month, except for the change in processor. The Galaxy On Nxt is powered by Exynos 7870 SoC while the latter is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC.
The Samsung Galaxy On Nxt sports a full metal unibody design and it comes with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 1.6 GHz Octa-core Exynos 7870 processor coupled with Mali T830 GPU. The processor on board is paired with 3 GB of RAM.
The smartphone packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera, both come with f/1.9 aperture. It comes with 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
The dual sim smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is backed by a 3300 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the physical home button. On the connectivity part, it includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. It measures 151.7 x 75 x 8mm and weighs 167g.
The Samsung Galaxy On Nxt comes in Gold and Black colour variants. The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart. Stay tuned for more updates!
