There is not much time left for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone to be unveiled at the ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event on 23rd August. While there has been a flood of leaked renders and specifications lately, the smartphone is yet again spotted on benchmarking portals revealing its specifications. Also, the company has released a new video teaser highlighting the massive display and the redefined S-pen.
Talking about the leaks first, the smartphone has been spotted on GFXbench and AnTuTu where there is not much that is unknown. The AnTuTu benchmark shows the listing for the smartphone with model number SM-N9500, which as per the report, is the Chinese variant of the Galaxy Note 8. This variant will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU, 6 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM.
Although the RAM and internal storage is same on the listings of GFXbench, here the smartphone is powered by an Exynos 8895 SoC coupled with a Mali G71 GPU. Both AnTuTu as well as GFXbench show the smartphone sporting a 6.4 inch screen which is pretty much a confirmed fact now. As per AnTuTu, the Galaxy Note 8 holds a display with 1080 x 2220 pixel resolution where as that on GFXbench, it was set to maximum 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution. The smartphone scored over 179,000 in the benchmarking test on AnTuTu.
In the imaging department. both the benchmarking sites indicate that the smartphone will hold a dual camera setup at the rear with both 12 MP sensors along with an 8 MP front camera. As per previous reports, the Galaxy Note 8 was said to sport a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens supporting dual photodiode and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. The reports also stated that it will support 3X optical zoom, dual 6P lenses and dual OIS as well.
Meanwhile, Samsung also recently released the first ever video teaser with the tagline “Do bigger things” emphasising the big screen size of Galaxy Note 8. Apart from the massive screen and the availability, there’s not much that the video teaser reveals.
There are just few days to go before the smartphone is unveiled and all the uncertain facts about the Galaxy Note 8 get confirmed.
