After launching in China, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) in India at Rs. 13,990 and 15,990 respectively. Both the metal framed smartphone will be available on Flipkart from Tuesday.
Both, the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) share some similarities like they both run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based TouchWiz UI and support 4G LTE connectivity. They both feature the same 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, and 1080p video recording. Also, a 5-megapixel front facing camera with LED flash is on board. So, now let’s look at their distinctive features.
The Galaxy J5 (2016) sport a 5.2-inch HD ( 1280 X 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It comes with a 16 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable via microSD card up to 128 GB. The Galaxy J5 (2016) is backed by a 3100mAh battery. It measures 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm and weighs 158 grams.
On the other hand, the Galaxy J7 (2016) flaunts a 5.5-inch HD ( 1280 X 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, paired with 2 GB of RAM. It bears a 16 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 128 GB. It is packed with a 3300mAh battery and measures 151.7 x 76 x 7.8 mm, while weighs 169 grams.
Both the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) will be offered in Radiant Gold, Midnight Black, and Pearl White color variants.
