After weeks of speculations, Samsung has officially launched its new budget android smartphone – ” Galaxy Core Prime” in India. This smartphone is priced at just Rs.9,700. The handset is listed at the company’s India e-store, however with no word on availability.
Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is a Dual-Sim Next Generation Smartphone. It sports 4.5-inch WVGA screen with PLS technology for better wider viewing angles. The smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 Kitkat.
It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB). It boasts a 2000mAh Battery with ultra-power saving feature, where in the device can run for 1.2 days straight with just 10% power under stand-by mode.
The Galaxy Core Prime features a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front camera. It measures 8.8mm which is thinnest in the mass segment claims the company and it also sports a matte body finish with metal sides.
It is currently available in three colour variants – Charcoal Grey, White, and Silver.
As of now, the new Galaxy Core Prime is currently listed at the company’s official site Samsung India e-Store for Rs.9,700, but the sale of the device is yet to start. Details regarding the availability of this product are expected to be announced soon by the company.
