Samsung Galaxy C5 with metal unibody design, 4GB RAM & 8MP front camera launched

After appearing in several leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally launched the smartphone from its new ‘C series’, dubbed as Samsung Galaxy C5. The full metal unibody smartphone is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting from June 17th.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 flaunts a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 4 GB RAM. It will be available in 32GB/64GB internal storage options, with expandable memory up to 128GB via hybrid Sim slot. The smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Galaxy C5 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and an 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. It houses a fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 2600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 + 5GHz), Bluetooth v 4.2, GPS, NFC. It measures 145.9 x 72 x 6.7 mm and weighs 143 g.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 comes in Gold, Pink Gold, Silver and Grey colors and is priced at 2199 yuan (approx. Rs. 22,500) for the 32 GB version and 2399 yuan (approx. Rs. 24,500) for the 64GB version. However, there is no word about its Indian availability yet.
