Philips has announced a new smart voice recorder, called as Philips SpeechAir. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat powered voice recorder is developed by Speech Processing Solutions.
The Philips SpeechAir comes with three microphones, first a 360° microphone for recording dictations and meetings, a second directional microphone for speech recognition, and a third which is specifically designed for ambient-sound environment and a MEMS microphone for taking VoIP phone calls. It has a 4-inch (480 × 800 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by 1.6 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor with 1 GB DDR3 RAM, and 16GB internal storage.
The SpeechAir voice recorder has 5MP rear camera, Barcode scanner, shockproof body, and antimicrobial housing that protects the device against bacteria and various microorganisms. It is backed by a 2700mAh battery and offers connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro USB 2.0 port.
The Phillips SpeechAir will be available in two versions, PSP1100 and PSP1200. However, there are no details about its pricing or availability yet.
