After being launched in India a few days ago, the OnePlus 5 is quite in talks amongst the smartphone lovers. Large number of buyers are queuing up to get their hands on the smartphone. While the OnePlus 5 was available via an early access sale for a limited time and was also sold at various pop-up stores across the country, it was still difficult for many to get one. Never the less, the smartphone is now up for open sale exclusively via Amazon, just as it was scheduled.
Added to Amazon, OnePlus 5 will also be available offline through the company’s experience store in Bengaluru from midnight. To recall, the smartphone is available in two variants, one with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage priced at Rs. 32,999 and another with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage priced at Rs. 37,999.
The OnePlus 5 also comes bundled with various launch offers under which, the Amazon Prime Video users can avail Rs. 250 Amazon Pay Balance on downloading and using the app over OnePlus 5. Also the Kindle users will get Rs. 500 free credit to purchase Kindle e-books with the purchase of smartphone. There is Rs. 1,500 cash back for SBI debit and credit card users along with additional discounts up to Rs. 1,000 on exchange offers. Apart from this, Kotak is also offering 12-months accidental damage insurance with the smartphone for the ones who download and deposit Rs. 1,000 in the Kotak 811 savings account app.
Finally, the company has also partnered with Vodafone to provide a heap of data benefits to the buyers. Vodafone prepaid customers get 9 GB free 4G data on purchase of 1 GB 4G data pack, where the offer is valid for up to 5 recharges and the postpaid customers will also be eligible for the offer. Additionally, Vodafone Red customers can also avail 10 GB free data per month for a period of three months. Both the offer from Vodafone will be valid from 22 June to 30th September 2017.
Going through the specifications once again, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixel) AMOLED display with support for the DCI-P3 color space. OnePlus 5 is powered by a 2.45 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6 GB/8 GB RAM and 64 GB/128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The smartphone is running on OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The OnePlus 5 sports two sensors at the back, one main 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture and another 20-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture. At the front there is a 16 MP camera for detailed selfies. The device packs a 3,300 mAh battery with Dash Charge along with NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wifi as connectivity options.
