With only about a week to go for the unveiling of OnePlus 5, the smartphone is up with yet another leak ahead of its launch on 20th June. The details about the smartphone have leaked previously on various occasions and some facts are also being confirmed by the company itself. The latest leak is by far the most amplified as it reveals the design of the smartphone along with the full list of specifications and price.
The new leaked images obtained by TechnoBlog shows the complete smartphone from front and rear. Although the image is not the clearest one but it gives us a better idea about the design which resembles to a previous few leaked images that we’ve seen. The new image as well shows OnePlus 5 with a design similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus with a horizontal dual rear cameras. Apart from this, we can also see a ceramic-coated fingerprint scanner below the display on the front.
Talking about the specifications, OnePlus 5 will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen with support for the DCI-P3 color space. As already confirmed by the company, the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The device is said to coming in two variants, i.e. with 6 GB and 8 GB. In terms of storage, the phone has been listed to come with either 64 GB or 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The smartphone will be running on OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Coming down to the imaging department, OnePlus 5 is speculated to hold a dual camera setup at the back that has a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.6 aperture and a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture. At front, the smartphone has been tipped to come with a 16-megapixel sensor. The smartphone will pack a 3,300 mAh battery with Dash Charge, capable of taking the device from 0 to 92% of charge in just one hour. OnePlus 5 is also said to come with NFC and Bluetooth 5.0 similar to that of Galaxy S8. The fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button will unlock the smartphone in mere o.2 seconds as per the leak.
Finally going towards the price, in an earlier leak it was reported that the 6 GB RAM variant will be priced at Rs. 32,999 where as the 8 GB RAM variant will come with a price tag of Rs. 37,999. However the pricing details revealed in recent leak seems to be more feasible, where the price of the OnePlus 5 will start from $479 (roughly Rs. 30,800).
With all that being said, most of the facts here are still speculations hovering around the smartphone and we advice you to take it with a pinch of salt even if they appear to be believable. There’s not much time left for the smartphone to be launched but till then we still have a bit left to our imagination.
