After Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, finally it is now turn for the Nokia 6 smartphone from HDM-Global to go into the hands of buyers in India. As it was scheduled, the Nokia 6 smartphone is up for pre-bookings from today in India for its first sale which is to be held on 23rd August. The smartphone was launched along side Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 last month in the country. While Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are to be sold offline only, the Nokia 6 will be sold online exclusively via Amazon only. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 14,999 and as mentioned above, will be available on 23rd August.
The Nokia 6 also comes bundled with some launch offers under which, the Amazon Prime users would get Rs. 1,000 back if they buy the smartphone with Amazon Pay balance. Kindle app users will get discount of 80% upto Rs. 300 on e-books. Also the Vodafone users will get 10 GB data per month at Rs. 249 for 5 months on purchase of the smartphone. Apart from this, there is also a discount of Rs. 2,500 on MakeMyTrip out of which Rs. 1,800 is off on hotel bookings and Rs. 700 is off on flight bookings.
Coming towards the specifications, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, clubbed with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. The Nokia 6 is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Stock Android interface on top.
On the camera front, it packs a 16 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture and an 8 MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens. There is also a fingerprint sensor embedded on the front. Nokia 6 packs a 3,000 mAh battery with quick charge support along with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB OTG as connectivity options. It has Dual speakers, Dual smart amplifiers (TFA9891), Dolby Atmos and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It measures at 154 x 75.8 x 7.8 mm and sports a 6000-grade aluminium alloy uni-body design.
It is worth noting that, in order to purchase the smartphone on 23rd August it will be mandatory for the buyers to register for the same on Amazon.in. Without pre-bookings or registering for the Nokia 6, you won’t be able to get your hands on one in its first sale next month.
