HDM Global has finally launched the Nokia 3310 (2017) in India. The feature phone was first announced during the MWC 2017 and instantly became an eye catcher inspite of being aside several other feature packed smartphones. The Nokia 3310 (2017) is priced at Rs. 3,310 and will be available for sale via offline channels from May 18. The feature phone is available in four different color options i.e Warm Red and Yellow in Gloss finish and Dark Blue and Gray in Matte finish.

The Nokia 3310 (2017) resembles a lot to its previous version, which is justified as the feature phone was meant to create a sense of nostalgia. That being said, it also has a refreshed design and a slightly modern approach considering the current vibe.

“Talk all day on a single charge, send texts, take pictures and enjoy a pocket jukebox with a built-in FM Radio and MP3 player. Our reinvention of this classic design is sure to make you smile. It’s got everything you remember, but with a modern twist. So whether you’re after a feature phone that offers amazing battery life in a head turning design or a companion phone, the Nokia 3310 won’t let you down.”

– Ajey Mehta, VP India, HMD Global, said during the launch.

The Nokia 3310 (2017) sports a 2.4 inches QVGA color display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The feature phone comes with 16 MB storage that can be expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Nokia Series 30+ OS along with a new UI that bears some similarities with the original one. The handset also contains a 2 MP rear camera accompanied with a LED flash. Nokia 3310 (2017) packs a 1200 mAh battery which has always been a highlight of the phone, where the company claims that the battery delivers 22 hours of talk time and around a month of standby time.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the device only supports 2G connectivity along with Bluetooth 3.0. The traditional pin socket is replaced by a micro USB port for charging the device. The feature phone surely has a nostalgic value and puts a smile on to the faces but is still a very basic device. With only 2G (not even 3G) and no WiFi connectivity there’s not much the users will be able to do.
