Motorola is all geared up to launch the successors for few of its biggest smartphones from last year. After the latest Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus hitting the market, it’s now time for the flagship Moto Z series. Amongst the Z series, Moto seems to bring the Moto Z2 Play before others.
There are some new images of the Moto Z2 Play leaked on technobuffalo which show the design of the smartphone. Although there have been leaks about the Moto Z2 and Moto Z2 Force previously but, it is the first time the Moto Z2 Play has been spotted online. From what appears looking at the image, the smartphone bears a similar design as that of its predecessor Moto Z Play. The design is sleek with golden trim and thin frame similar to the previous model. The smartphone retains its front facing flash and the camera bump at the rear along with connector pins for Moto Mods.
However, one major difference that was spotted was regarding the home button which looks redesigned similar to the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones. Not only does the button works as a fingerprint scanner but also holds a feature which allows the users to swipe on the button to navigate on the screen.
There hasn’t been much regarding the hardware specifications of the smartphone and only details out by far are about the design and looks. If we were to compare the Moto Z2 Play with its predecessor Moto Z Play which was launched last year, it had a Snapdragon 625 chipset along with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The camera department included a 16 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The highlight of the smartphone was its massive 3,510 mAh battery which could survive well over a day with heavy usage.
Considering Moto’s reputation, we could see some changes in specs with processor, RAM, front camera and other features upgraded. We could also see the smartphone launching early as compared to Moto Z Play which came around August last year.
We’ll keep you updated with more regarding this, stay tuned!
