Microsoft Lumia 950 & Lumia 950 XL launching in India in December: Nadella

Microsoft India has announced that company’s newly launched flagship smartphones Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will be available in India by December 2015. Both the smartphones will be offered in Black and White colors.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, both will run on latest Windows 10 OS. Both the smartphones comes with 32 GB internal memory, expandable up to 200 GB via microSD card. They both have 3 GB RAM and USB Type-C port.

On the photography front, both the smartphones boasts a 20 megapixel autofocus rear camera with ZEISS optics, Optical Image Stabilization, f/1.9 aperture, triple LED flash, and 4K video recording capability. Up front, they sports 5 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture, wide-angle lens, 1080p video recording.

Connectivity options on both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL includes 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.

So what’s make these smartphones different from each other. Let’s  have look on that.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch QHD (1440 × 2560 pixels)  AMOLED ClearBlack display with pixel density at 564 ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Whereas Lumia 950 XL flaunts a bigger 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED ClearBlack display with pixel density at 518 ppi, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Under the hood, Lumia 950 has hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, paired with Adreno 418 GPU. While, Lumia 950 XL is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 is gets its juice from 3000 mAh battery and is sized at 45 x 73.2 x 8.25 mm with a weight of 150 g, on the other side Lumia 950 XL is backed by 3340 mAh battery and measures 151.9 x 78.4 x 8.1 mm while weighing 165 g.

On the other announcement, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella has also said that the Surface Pro 4 will be launched by January 2016 in India.
