Meizu has finally launched the ‘Pro 5’ today at an event in China. The flagship phone has an all-metal body design and will be available in Grey, Silver White, Silver Black, Gold and Rose Gold color variants.
The Meizu Pro 5 flaunts a 5.7 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass screen with pixel density at 387 ppi and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, it has 64-bit Samsung’s Exynos 7420 octa-core processor paired with Mali T760 GPU. The Pro 5 comes in two storage variants- 32 GB storage variant with 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB storage variant with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Both the variants support storage expansion via microSD card.
The Meizu Pro 5 sports a 21 megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor and dual LED flash. It has aperture of f/2.2 and Laser Autofocus feature that focuses in just 0.7 seconds. On the front, it has 5 megapixels of sefie snapper with OmniVision’s OV5670 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The flagship phone has some cool features like fingerprint scanner, Type-C USB, Hi-Fi 2.0 (for greater sound experience), etc.
The Meizu Pro 5 gets its juice from 3050mAh battery with Meizu’s mCharge fast charging technology that charges the phone from 0-65% in just 30 minutes. It supports 4G LTE connectivity and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Meizu’s Flyme 5 UI running on top.
The Meizu PRO 5 measures 156.7 x 78 x 7.5mm and weighs around 166 grams.
The Meizu Pro 5 will be priced at $439 (Approx. 29,000 Rs) for the 3GB/32GB storage model, and $486 (Approx. 32,110 Rs) for the 4GB/64GB storage model, and is expected to be released on the 12th of October.
