Meizu M5c with 5-inch HD display, 2 GB RAM and 3,000 mAh battery launched

Meizu on 23rd May, launched another mid-range smartphone dubbed as ‘Meizu M5c’. The smartphone comes under budget segment but the exact price isn’t revealed by the company yet. Meizu M5c will be available in Pink, Black, Gold, Red, and Blue colour variants.

The Meizu M5c sports a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixel) display with 400 nits brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek processor coupled with Mali T720 GPU. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB via microSD card. The Meizu M5c runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Flyme OS 6 on top.

For imaging, the smartphone has got an 8 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. There’s also a 5 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The connectivity options of the smartphone include Dual-sim support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS / GLONASS. The device packs a 3000 mAh non-removable battery for its powering and has got a fingerprint scanner embedded on the front along with other on-board sensors which include proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and e-compass.

Earlier this month Meizu launched its M5 smartphone India. The device sports a 5.2 inches HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz 0cta-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The device holds a 13 MP rear camera along with a 5 MP front camera. Meizu M5 comes with a price tag of Rs. 10,499 and looking at specifications of Meizu M5c smartphone it is expected to be available at a price much less that Rs. 10,499.
