LG has unveiled a new smartphone from its assortment, dubbed by the name X500. The smartphone is not entirely a new release from the company but is more of a re-modelling of the previously launched LG X Power 2. LG X500 is announced in South Korea and comes with some minor changes in the specifications as compared to LG X Power 2. The smartphone comes with a price tag of KRW 319,000 or $285 (Rs. 18,300 approx) and will be available for sale in South Korea from 9th June.
The LG X500 sports a 5.5-inches HD (720 X 1280 pixel) display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor and considering the fact that the smartphone is a Korean variant of X Power 2, it should contain Mediatek MT6750. The smartphone comes with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which is further expandable upto 2 TB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The imaging department of LG X500 includes a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front camera again with soft LED flash. The smartphone packs a massive 4,500 mAh battery which is one of the primary highlights. It comes with fast charging, where the company claims that the battery will go from 0% to 50% power in one hour. Also, as per the company the users will get around 20 hours of video playback time in a single charge.
The connectivity options include, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG, etc. The smartphone measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 164 grams.
