As promised, LG has launched its flagship smartphone, dubbed as LG V20 at an event in San Francisco, USA. The successor to last year’s V10 will be available in Titan, Silver, and Pink color variants.
The LG V20 flaunts a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) IPS Quantum display with a pixel density of 513 ppi and also has another 2.1-inch (160 x 1040 pixels) of ‘Always On’ display. Under the hood, it has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. It bears a 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal memory, expandable up to 2TB with microSD. It is the first smartphone to come with the Android 7.0 Nougat, overlayed with LG’s UX 5.0+ skin.
The V20 sports a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with OIS 2.0, f/1.8 aperture, dual-tone LED Flash, Laser AF, PDAF, CAF, 75-degree lens and 4K video recording. It also has another 8-megapixel secondary rear camera with f/2.4 aperture and 135-degree lens. On the front, it has 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens. The smartphone has passed the US Military Standard MIL-STD 810G test to withstand a fall of up to 1.2 meters.
The LG V20 will start rolling out from this month in Korea. However, there are no pricing details or global market availability details yet.
