After a long delay, Lenovo has finally launched the first phone from its new brand Zuk in India, called as the Zuk Z1. The phone packs some interesting features for its price so, let’s get started. The Zuk Z1 comes with a metallic (aluminium) frame although, the company has used plastic in the curved back. The phone looks good, feels sturdy and has a very good overall build quality. It sports a 5.5 inches Full HD screen which has good colors, the viewing angles are also very good. The Zuk Z1 is powered by the old and popular Snapdragon 801 Quad Core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz and comes paired with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The performance is good as expected and it can handle gaming also but the new Snapdragon 650 used in the similarly priced Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 performs much better. The phone packs a 13 MP rear shooter with Sony’s IMX 214 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, OIS and Dual-LED flash. Getting OIS at this price is amazing and the picture quality of the rear camera is also very good or one of the best at this price, it has natural colors, good saturation and good sharpness. The 8 MP front camera is also good. One of the Zuk Z1’s highlight is the OS on which it runs, which is the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Cyanogen 12.1 OS which is excellent, it comes with unlimited customizations, lots of interesting features and much more. The phones also includes a fingerprint scanner situated below the screen, integrated with the physical home button, it works well. It is a dual sim phone with 4G support on both the slots. It has 64 GB of internal storage space, which is just great at this price but, there is no microSD slot but as you get plenty of internal space, this shouldn’t be a problem. The phone is backed by a Non-removable Li-Po 4100 mAh battery which gives very good battery backup. It also includes USB Type-C port fort fast charging and fast data transfer. The phone weighs 175 grams and is heavy but with its big battery, it’s acceptable. Overall, the Zuk Z1 might be a little older and has entered India late but the price at which it is offering these great features, makes it a killer deal. It is a really good buy at this price and you can pick it over the top phones without doubts.
