At the ongoing event, MWC 2016, Lenovo has launched two new budget smartphones, Lenovo Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus. The Lenovo Vibe K5 is priced at $129 (approx. Rs. 8,800), while the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus costs $149 (approx Rs. 10,200).
The Lenovo Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 plus come with almost similar design and features, except the display and hardware specs. The Vibe K5 features a 5 inch HD (1280 X 720 pixel) IPS LCD display, whereas Vibe K5 Plus comes with 5 inch Full HD (1920 X 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display. On the hardware front, the Vibe K5 has Snapdragon 415 octa-core SoC coupled with Adreno 405 and 2 GB of RAM, while Vibe K5 Plus is powered by Snapdragon 616 SoC and 2 GB RAM.
Other features which both the phones have in common is 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front facing camera. Both of them come with 16 GB internal storage space, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card and packed with a 2750 mAh battery. They run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
On the connectivity front, the Lenovo Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus supports dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB 2.0.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus will be available from March 2016 in platinum silver, champagne gold and graphite gray color variants.
