As promised, Lenovo has officially launched a new smartphone dubbed as, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus in India. The premium metal cased smartphone will be offered in Platinum Silver, Graphite Grey and Gold color variants. The smartphone which is touted as “Knockout” is aggressively priced for Rs. 8,499 and will be available via open sale from March 23rd at 12 PM, exclusively on Flipkart.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus flaunts a 5 inch Full HD (1920 X 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with pixel density of 441 ppi. Just like its distant cousin, Vibe K4 Note it also features the TheatreMax technology for VR headsets. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 64 bit octa core processor, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB RAM. It comes with 16 GB internal memory, which is further expandable upto 32 GB via a dedicated microSD slot and also supports OTG functionality. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Vibe K5 Plus sports a 13 megapixel OV13850 sensor with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5 piece lens and Full HD video recording. On the front, it boasts a 5 megapixel selfie camera with f/2.8 aperture, 4 piece lens and auto beautification feature. The smartphone is backed by 2750 mAh removable battery and has Dolby enabled twin stereo speakers.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is a dual Sim smartphone that offers connectivity options like 4G/3G, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.1, FM radio and GPS. It measures 142 x 71 x 7.9mm and weighs 142 g.
The smartphone was first showcased at MWC 2016, held in Barcelona, Spain.
