As scheduled, Lenovo has launched its next smartphone in the P series, the ‘Lenovo P2’ in India, after teasing it earlier this month. The smartphone was first unveiled at IFA in September last year.
The Lenovo P2 flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 2GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in 3GB/ 4GB RAM variants with 32GB of internal storage, with expandable memory up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and the fingerprint sensor is mounted on the front.
The hybrid dual-sim smartphone is backed by a huge 5100mAh battery with fast charging support, that is rated to provide up to 10 hours of usage in just 15 minutes of charge and full charge in under 90 minutes. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and NFC. It has a unibody metal design along with TheaterMax technology for an immersive VR experience when combined with ANT VR headset.
The Lenovo P2 comes in Champagne gold and Graphite gray colors. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 16,999, while the 4GB RAM variant costs Rs. 17,999. It will be exclusively available from Flipkart starting today midnight.
