The Chinese tech giant Lenovo is all pumped up to launch its much awaited K8 Note smartphone on 9th August i.e tomorrow. With the launch of Lenovo K8 being just round the corner, there are already reports popping up indicating that the company might be working on another variant of the smartphone dubbed as Lenovo K8 Plus.

A new smartphone with the name Lenovo K8 Plus was apparently spotted on Geekbench with few details about the specifications. As per the listing, the smartphone will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757CD) SoC clocked up to 1.7 GHz. Lastly, it appears that the device will be holding 3 GB RAM with no information about the internal storage as of yet.

Apart from this, as per a report on Gadgets Now, the smartphone comes with a code number XT1902 and is being currently tested in India. The specifications received by Gadgets Now as part of the screenshot of the CPU-Z app, the Lenovo K8 Plus differs a bit as compared to that of Geekbench listing, it runs MediaTek MT6757 processor coupled with 4 GB RAM, unlike the 3 GB RAM variant listed on the Geekbench website. The app showed that the smartphone could sport a 4.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) screen which seem to be smaller inspite of being the plus variant.

Talking about the upcoming Lenovo K8 Note, the details about the smartphone have been leaked a few times earlier. As per the leaks, the smartphone will be powered by a 1.39 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM. This could very well be true as the company has been emphasizing the high performance of the smartphone in the teasers. The smartphone looks to be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.

There is literally less than a day left for the launch of Lenovo K8 Note and for us to know the actual details about the smartphone. The company has been teasing the smartphone’s performance and camera ever since the beginning and it will be interesting to see wether it lives up to the expectations.
