The Lava Z10 smartphone has just been re-announced with a RAM bump and will be now available with 3 GB RAM. The smartphone which was previously launched in March this year, originally came with 2 GB RAM. The smartphone will be available at the same price of Rs. 11,500 as it was of the 2 GB variant and can be purchased via company’s retail stores. Lava Z10 also comes with 1 year of ‘screen replacement policy’ and 30 days of ‘replacement-warranty’ which will enable the users to replace the smartphone with a new one within 30 days.
Most of the specifications of the smartphone remain the same except a few. To refresh, the Lava Z10 consists of a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 64-bit processor along with Mali T720 GPU. It has a bumped up 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory which can be further extended up to 128 GB via MicroSD card.
For imaging, the Lava Z10 has an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front. The smartphone runs on Android 6.o Marshmallow with Star OS 3.3 running on top. For connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a 2,620 mAh removable battery for its powering. The phone measures 43.2 x 71 x 8.4 mm and weighs 148 gms.
At a price of Rs. 11,500, the Lava Z10 is looking to compete with other smartphones in the budget segment especially the ones from Xiaomi. But except 3 GB RAM Lava Z10 has nothing much to offer, whereas its competitors Redmi 4A, Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime and the most recent Redmi 4 offer a lot at a price much lower than Z10.
