Indian phone maker Lava has launched its ‘Z10’ and ‘Z25’ smartphones today at an event in New Delhi, India. Both the smartphones are launched as Camera-centric devices with smartphone photography being the main focus of the company. The Lava Z10 is priced at Rs. 11,500 and the Z25 is priced at Rs. 18,000.
Specifications of Lava Z10:
The Lava Z10 consists of a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor along with Mali T720 GPU. It has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory which can be further extended up to 128 GB via MicroSD card. For imaging, the Lava Z10 has an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front. The smartphone runs on Android 6.o Marshmallow with Star OS 3.3 running on top.
For connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a 2,620 mAh removable battery for its powering. The phone measures 43.2 x 71 x 8.4 mm and weights 148 gms. It comes in a Gold color.

The Lava Z25 bears a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display covered with 2.5D curved glass. It has got a 1.51 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor with Mali T860 GPU. It has 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which can be extended up to 128 GB. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Star O.S 3.3 and it is expected that it will receive an update to Android 7.0 Nougat.
Camera being the highlight of the phone, it comes with a 13 MP f/2.0 aperture rear camera coupled with Sony IMX258 Exmor RS sensor and PDAF. The front camera is an 8 MP f/2.0 aperture shooter with LED flash for selfies in low light.
The connectivity options include the same 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The Z25 also sports a fingerprint sensor at the back which is claimed to be amazingly fast. It holds a 3,020 mAh battery to power itself. The smartphone is available in Champagne Gold and Grey color variants.
