Lava Mobiles in partnership with Google has launched their first Android One smartphone in Delhi today dubbed as Lava Pixel V1. This is the first phone in the second generation of Android One smartphones and it comes with much better specs when compared to the last year’s phones.
The Lava Android One smartphone features a 5.5 inch HD IPS display which is larger than the previous Android One phones like Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and the Spice Dream Uno. The smartphone runs on quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It has inbuilt storage of 32 GB and it can be further expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card. The phone is backed by 2650 mAh battery.
The Pixel V1 supports 3G connectivity on both the SIMs but there is no 4G support. Apart from it, other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, and Micro-USB.
The phone sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, f/2.0 lens and LED flash while on the front it sports an 8 megapixel camera with f/2.4 lens. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 operating system with guaranteed updates for 2 years.
The Lava Pixel V1 Android One smartphone is exclusively available online on Flipkart for Rs 11,350 in Gold and White-Silver color variant. Lava also said that the Pixel V1 Android One smartphone will be also available via retail stores in the country.
