After the launch of Aqua Trend Lite and Aqua 4G Mini, Intex is back with another budget smartphone. Intex has launched its Aqua Prime 4G budget smartphone. This time it is a camera centric phone from Intex with a front flash. The Intex Aqua Prime 4G is priced at Rs. 6,555 as listed on the company’s website and will be available for sale through offline retail stores.
The Aqua Prime 4G sports a 5.5 inch HD (1280×720) display with 70% screen to body ratio. It is powered by a MediaTek MTK 6735P quad-core processor clocked at 1 GHz along with a Mali 760 GPU. The smartphone has 1 GB RAM with 8 GB internal storage which can be further extended up to 32 GB via microSD card. The Aqua Prime 4G runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As far as imaging is concerned, the smartphone contains an 8 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2 MP front camera with a single LED selfie flash. For connectivity there is Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio and a 3.5 mm Audio jack. On-board sensors include G-Sensor, Light Sensor and Proximity-Sensor. The phone bears a 2,800 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 500 hrs of stand-by time and 11 hours of talk time. The Aqua Prime 4G measures 154.5 x 77.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs 158 grams. The smartphone is available in White, Gray and champagne color variants.
Launch of this budget smartphone from Intex could be an effort to stand up against competitors like Xiaomi Redmi 4A which is already on top of the list for Budget friendly smartphones. With a price of Rs. 5,999, the Redmi 4A has a lot more to offer than the Aqua Prime 4G.
