If you are a big time Instagram user, and have to operate multiple accounts on it, then here is a good news for you. Instagram has finally rolled out the long-awaited update and will now officially support multiple account switching on their photo sharing app.
Instagram users can now add up to 5 different accounts, and can quickly switch between them. For adding multiple accounts, users have to go to options page and select ‘Add account’ option. Once you have added multiple accounts, you will be able to easily switch between them by tapping your username at the top of your profile. Instagram says that you will also see your profile photo throughout the app so that you can easily tell which account you are currently using.
Instagram announced this on feature on blog saying:
“Starting this week, you can quickly and easily switch between multiple accounts on Instagram! Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment.”
They further added:
“If you’ve added multiple Instagram accounts, you may get push notifications from any account that has them turned on. This depends on when you last logged in and the number of devices that are logged in to an account.”
Which means that you will get push notifications for all your logged in accounts on Instagram, which is very useful.
Now the regular user may not feel the need of this feature, but many people who use it for work or have their pet accounts on it must be pretty happy with it. As till now they had to use third-party apps for such feature.
This feature is now available on version 7.15 of the Instagram app on both Android and iOS.
