Huawei has announced another mid-segment smartphone under its ‘Y’ series, the ‘Huawei Y6 (2017)’. The smartphone comes as a successor of the 2015 iteration of Y6 and has been listed on the official website of Huawei. The Huawei Y6 (2017) will be coming in White, Gold, and Gray colors where its price and availability has not been revealed by the company yet.
Huawei Y6 (2017) sports a 5-inches HD (720 x 1280 pixel) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB via microSD card. Huawei Y6 (2017) runs EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The imaging department includes a 13 MP rear rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5 MP front camera also with a LED flash for better selfies in low light. For connectivity, the smartphone has got Dual-sim support, 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Huawei Y6 (2017) packs a 3000 mAh battery for its powering which is one the highlights as per the company.
The on-board sensors include accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and ambient light sensor. The device measures 143.8 x 72.0 x 8.5 mm and weighs 150 grams.
