After surfacing in many leaks and rumors, Huawei has finally announced its flagship smartphones dubbed as Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, at an event in London. Both these smartphones have a full-metal unibody and will go on sale in select markets in Europe and Middle East starting April 16.
The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus share many features, but the highlight of these smartphones is their dual-rear camera setup, that was co-developed by famous camera manufacturer, Leica. Both of them have a 12 megapixel dual rear cameras with Leica SUMMARIT lenses, dual-tone LED flash, Laser Auto Focus, and f/2.2 aperture. On the front, they sport an 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfie lovers. Both the phones are powered by octa-core Kirin 955 (4x 2.5GHz A72, A53 4 x 1.8 GHz) processor with Mali T880-MP4 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s own EMUI 4.1 on top.
Both the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus support Hybrid dual Sim, fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. On the connectivity front, the phones include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C.

Huawei P9:
The Huawei P9 features a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display. It comes in two variants; one with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, and another with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.
The Huawei P9 is offered in Ceramic White, Mystic Silver, Titanium Grey, Haze Gold, Prestige Gold and Rose Gold color variants. It is priced at EUR 599 (approx. Rs. 45,400) for 32 GB variant, whereas the 64 GB variant will cost you EUR 649 (approx. Rs. 49,200).
Huawei P9 Plus:
The Huawei P9 Plus is higher-end model, that flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED Press Touch 2.5D curved glass display. It has 4 GB RAM with 64 GB inbuilt memory and is packed with a 3400mAh battery with fast charging.
The Huawei P9 Plus comes in Ceramic White, Rose Gold, Haze Gold and Quartz Grey colors and is priced at EUR 749 (approx. Rs. 56,800).
However, it is still unclear when these smartphones will be available in India.
