Huawei Honor 7 with 20 MP Camera Launched in China

Huawei has launched the much-anticipated Honor 7 smartphone in China on Tuesday.  As rumours had flared back in June that it would come with metallic body, the Honor 7 comes with a premium aluminium alloy build and will be available in silver, gold and grey colours.

The Huawei Honor 7 features a 5.2 inches screen with a 1080p resolution at pixel density of 423 ppi and is powered by a 64 bit octa-core Kirin 935 processor, which offers four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and another four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5 GHz, it houses Mali-T628 GPU and the phone has 3GB of RAM. Huawei’s providing 16GB and 64GB storage options for the Honor 7 and the good news is that it is microSD expandable upto whooping 128 GB.

Another big feature of Honor 7 is its camera, it has a 20 MP sensor with Phase detection AF, dual-LED flash, an f/2.0 aperture, sapphire glass protection against scratching and a 6-lens setup with an 8MP of wide-angle selfie snapper. Like the Huawei Mate 7, the Honor 7 also features a fingerprint sensor right below the rear camera that enables users to unlock the smartphone by just tapping once. Connectivity options include NFC, WIFI 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4-5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GSM, WCDMA and LTE.

Honor 7 is packed with 3100 mAh battery with fast charging technology taking 30 minutes for 50% charging. Android 5.0 Lollipop is running on the device, but with Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 UI on top of it. The smartphone measures 143.2×71.9×8.5mm and weighs 157 grams.

However, the company hasn’t said about its global launch we can expect it in India very soon due its previous success in the Indian market. The Honor 7’s pricing details are as follows:

16 GB single SIM – 1,999 Chinese Yuan (Approx. Rs 20,515)

16 GB dual SIM – 2,199 Chinese Yuan (Approx. Rs 22,577)

64 GB dual SIM – 2,499 Chinese Yuan (Approx. Rs 25,645)
