HTC has officially announced a new smartphone, HTC One S9 in Germany. The smartphone is priced at 499 Euros (approx. Rs. 37,400) and will go on sale from mid-May.
The HTC One S9 features a 5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) Octa-Core 64-bit processor, coupled with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 2 GB RAM. It has 16 GB internal storage, expandable up to 2TB with microSD. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sense UI on top.
The One S9 sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, OIS, 28mm lens, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording. It also has a Ultrapixel front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture, 2 micron pixels, and 1080p video recording. It packs a 2840mAh battery and also has Dual front-facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio system.
On the connectivity front, it has 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS, and NFC. The HTC One S9 comes in Gold, Gunmetal Grey and Silver color variants and measures 144.6×69.7×10.09 mm, while weighs 158 g. However, it is unlikely to launch in other markets outside Europe.
