When HTC revealed its popular and powerful flagship smartphone “HTC One M9” at Mobile World Congress, Indian fans were waiting eagerly to get hands on it. But in a surprising move, HTC has launched “HTC One M9+” in India, which is being called as Larger variant of HTC One M9. HTC has also launched HTC One E9+.
The HTC One M9+ is priced at Rs. 52,500 and will be available in the country Starting May 3. However, there are no details regarding pricing and availability of HTC One E9+ in India. HTC One M9+ will be competing against Samsung Galaxy S6, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and other flagships. With the HTC One M9+, HTC has come up with a more evolved and better variant of HTC One M9.
The HTC One M9+ sports a dual-tone all-metal body design, wherein the phone’s rear is a silver-coated metal. On the edges, it is laced with gold-coated metal providing a stunning dual-metal finish. The HTC One M9+ features a 5.2-inch Quad-HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) 2K display. It runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with HTC sense 7 UI on Top. The Home button is a Fingerprint Sensor which we have seen in rival brands like Apple and Samsung. It operates on 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Mediatek Processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM.
On the photography front, it houses the 20.0-megapixel rear camera with an additional camera sensor at the top, to capture detailed, in-depth information of the scene. It hosts a 4 Ultra-Pixel Selfie Camera. The phone is backed by a good 2840 mAh battery.
HTC One M9+ looks to be the next big thing for HTC. People in India are still waiting for HTC One M9, which is not on the cards yet. However, till then HTC has greeted people with HTC One M9+. It will be interesting to see how this flagship smartphone turns out for HTC.
