HTC Desire 728 with Octa Core processor, 13 MP rear camera launched in China

HTC, struggling with its revenue, has launched a new budget smartphone in China, dubbed as HTC Desire 728. The dual SIM smartphone will be available in White and Gold or Black and Grey color variants. The phone is up for pre-orders in China but the company is yet to reveal its price and global availability details.

The Desire 728 features a 5.5 inch 720 pixels IPS LCD display with pixel density of 267 ppi. It is powered by 1.3 GHz 64-bit MediaTek 728 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of inbuilt memory, expandable via microSD. It runs on HTC Sense UI based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1.

The HTC Desire 728 sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixel front camera. It is packed with 2800mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G/3G, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It measures 157.9×77.84×7.87mm and weighs around 153 grams. The phone also comes with BoomSound stereo speakers.

If HTC wants to make the most out of this phone, it should be priced around 10,000 Rs. seeing the specifications, but considering HTC’s history the phone could be priced around 15,000 or even more. And if that happens, it will be again disappointing for the company and the buyers!
